Te Whare Kapua
Producer | Massive Company | Mangere Arts Centre & ONEONESIX
“If you close your eyes and walk you’ll surely not get lost, the mountain calls your name, it knows you better than you know yourself.
In the heart of the Waitakere Ranges, Te Wao Nui O Tiriwa deep in the bush, lives The Cloud House. The Maunga, the Whenua, the Kapua that surround The Cloud House, pulls people in, nudging them towards a deeper understanding of themselves in this ‘magical’ between and betwixt time. Te Whare Kapua, The Cloud House, is a brand new play written by Miriama McDowell for Massive Theatre Company.
Directed by Sam Scott, this work uses physicality, music and dialogue to weave together the hearts and minds of our characters and in turn encourages you to springboard into your own experiences.”
